: People think it because a soul simply made corporeal
: doesn't make any sense! That's like giving the number
: 5 a body. When you chop off her arm, does she lose a
: piece of her soul? Does her fashion sense drop off?
: Besides, when she dies she seems to come apart in a
: fashion suggesting the exiting of a soul from a body,
: like the Fetch.
A soul is different from a number. A ghost has an physical appearance, even though it is not physical. Imagine you make a a ghost solid, real - you've just made a spirit corporeal. And I just looked at her death sequence: she flinches in pain, her whole body glows and disintigrates a little, and then she explodes. Nothing like a Fetch soul effect.
: The only meaningful interpretation of "soul made
: corporeal" is that a body was provided and her
: soul housed in it. GURPS follows this--it says that
: either Soulblighter reconstructed either her living
: body or her corpse.
Where does it say that? I just looked in the History section, in Shiver's description, and in the Tramist's Mirror description - all seem to agree that nobody got close enough to Shiver to tell what the exact method of her ressurection was.
