: No! Shiver is not a shade! Why do people think this? The
: Shiver we see in Myth II is Shiver's SOUL MADE
: CORPOREAL.
People think it because a soul simply made corporeal doesn't make any sense! That's like giving the number 5 a body. When you chop off her arm, does she lose a piece of her soul? Does her fashion sense drop off? Besides, when she dies she seems to come apart in a fashion suggesting the exiting of a soul from a body, like the Fetch.
The only meaningful interpretation of "soul made corporeal" is that a body was provided and her soul housed in it. GURPS follows this--it says that either Soulblighter reconstructed either her living body or her corpse.
: "...her spirit disconnected from her body, set
: adrift on the ether... gathered up by Soulblighter
: and... made corporeal with the terrible power of
: Tramist's Mirror."
Again, there are those ellipses in there, implying that the quote's incomplete. The earlier "spirit" is most likely not the subject of "made corporeal." It makes much more sense if *she* was made corporeal--that is, given a body.
