Storywise? The Heron Guards are recruited from some of the greatest warriors in the known lands. Add to that a few hundred years of training, plus vitality-enhancing root rituals, plus a fabled strength allowing them to carry several times the weight of a man, and they must be better than Zerks.

Gameplay-wise? That's a job for another forum. :-)
