Well, I thought it was pretty clear that this all happened in the Northern Ermine, where all of the things and people that are in Chimera do happen to exist, including Berserks, fir'Bolg, and the cold oceanic climate.

Yes, it only says Ermine ingame, but it's rather clear where the game takes place by all the evidence. If it's on the map of the known world, it's the Northern Ermine.
