Well, its clear that Four Bear, Fenris and ne'Ric fought together in the past against Cartucke, that Kyrilla's father fought with them and died, and that it took place in the region where Chimera happens, wherever that may be, because Fenris is known to the baron and his dukedom.
It seems apparent that the battle happened some time in the past, as Fenris has gone bush & befriended wolves and Kyrilla has grown up.
Hence I've always felt that Cartucke was an ally of Soulblighter and the wars took place around the same period. That seems to be what the storyline is hinting at. If it wasn't Bungie's intention for this to be so, where have they told us otherwise?

Don't be nasty now. The "alliance with the humans" that I referred to was the alliance between humans and fir'Bolg, not humans and dwarves.
I'm not basing anything off Ephor - that would be silly. Fir'Bolg flavour text speaks of one of them being captured at Myrgard and having his arm dislocated or some such.
