In one on one combat,a Berserk can win a Maul.He is much faster than the walking Ping,so he'll win,but he will be heavy injured.

You may like Heron Guard(I agree that they help a lot against Soulblighter)but Berserks are the "special force".

You can understand this from the missions that Berserks act.

They are like modern Seals or commandos.King Alric uses them on extremely difficult missions
