: Actually all pictures of the arm show the left one (the
: loss for shadow of the mountain and the picture of the
: fir'bolg making the arrows) while all pictures of the
: watcher show his right arm is missing.
: Although i doubt there is a fake watcher, it is unlikely
: that the artists woukd have 'accidentally' reversed
: these images - it seems rather coincidental.
: A more likely theory would be that the arm dug up in
: silvermines is not the watcher's but some other great
: sorceror and the watcher was never buried in
: silvermines. This would explain why he is turned to
: stone as i'm sure a sorceror's bone would have some
: effect on most things.
I honestly think this is one of those things that bungie, being human, never thought of. In other words its a mistake. Think about this: Im pretty sure that the artists that drew the win/loss screens (which is where we see the pictures of the arm) and the artists that actually drew the Watcher that we see in the level bearing his name are different. This means that they simply never thought to check with one another on which arm was actually missing. Maybe there was a slight communications problem or maybe they just didn't think of it. It doesn't seem that big and they don't speak of his amr THAT much. In other words, it was a common mistake. But thats just my opinion.
