Shiver and the Deciever don't wear armour because they're mages, and mages traditionally go without armour (although there are exceptions, like Alric in Myth2 and Rabican. According to GURPS, there's nothing to stop Myth magi from wearing armour, but, in my view at least, it just wouldn't look right if every mage and his dog went about kitted out in plate mail.)
Soulblighter's a trickier one. My guess is that he's just incredibly sure of his own prowess as a warrior, and goes unarmoured so that enemies will see him as an easy target, only to be hopelessly hacked to pieces.
