On Timid, that's easy. In the original 1.0 people complained of how hard the game was even on Timid, so they made Timid a whole lot easier. Now things that were never supposed to be possible can be done on Timid, like killing Balor prematurely or killing all four Trow with the scouting party (which I've seen done; even did it once myself).
