Soulblighter apparently didn't have a lot of spells, his abilities are mostly innate and are just magically enhanced. Since he was really on his mad skills and not so much his magic, he wasn't affected as badly as the other Fallen. Perhaps he'd normally be protected from unhealing and stuff though, and Balor's death is what made him vulnerable.
