: Throw in 1 or two spider queens hehe =) And btw.. I think
: the summoner himself relied more on the lightning
: towers than myrks for protection from spiders.

Spider queens? Against myrks, who recover from paralysis four times as quickly as a human and who usually attack too fast for a spider queen even to get in a bite? I don't think that changes the odds very much; the spiders still get spanked. Also, if spider queens serve the same function as insect queens, then they're the only (or almost the only) members of the species capable of bearing young. (Actually, now that I think of it, I know this is true because all the smaller cave spiders are males.) Which means that, far from leading the attack, in most cases the spider queens will be far away in some safe place. If they die, the entire spider colony is done for. So you would very rarely have to fight a spider queen (indeed, there were none in Myth II). You may be right about the lightning towers being the Summoner's primary means of protection, but that only adds to the list of reasons for spiders not to attack the Dark forces in the shard. I still think they would have evolved an aversion to myrks.

: Personally, I dont recall any undead in the Tain... in
: fact I dont think there are any, ill have to play
: those levels again to see.. But IF there are.. you
: have to keep in mind that SB kinda sucks when it comes
: to magic. Magically speeking, any of the other fallen
: lords could kick his arse, in fact in terms of direct
: offensive magic.. he is little better than a warlock..
: the most impressive thing he ever does are those fire
: spouts. However compensates with his amazing mastery
: of hand to hand combat and immortality. So while Balor
: (a leveler), The Watcher, and others have enough
: strengh to control thier undead in the tain... SB
: might not.

I don't think Soulblighter is so bad at magic (he WAS about to blow up the world, after all); he just channels his magical energies into enhancing his strength and speed and invulnerability and regenerative powers instead of into spells. And the undead that were in the Tain in TFL were part of Soulblighter's army. But you're right, it could be that Soublighter needs Balor's backing in order to be able to control undead in the Tain.
