Well, lets see. With five heroes we stumble across one of the ever so lovely numerical references. The number five has long held to represent perfection, be it from the four elements and God or any other similar source....originally it was thought that there -were- Five Elements, Fire, Air, Water, Earth and Aether. The word Quintessence also comes from this idea of five being perfect.
Perhaps the idea is that five heroes would be the perfect team for such missions, hence why in the first mission they threw in a normal journeyman admist the heroes to round it out to five.
