Remember that they only said they woudln't be using a _journal_ to get the story across. IMHO it would be awesome to do in the heroic mode form. Have a person from the time periods of MythTFL or SB (although they shouldn't mention that they are) narrating the story as if it was a legend in the distant past. This would be cool and it could open up a lot of other story opions as references to different events are made in the course of the telling.
