In Response To: Re: SWORD AGE *IS* GREAT WAR! (Ares)

: OK, so, Whispers of the Wolf Age would be the most
: historically accurate name, since Ceiscoran was the
: Emperor of the Cath Bruig during that time.

: Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bruig emperors went

: Clovis -> Connacht -> Ceiscoran -> Alric

: with maybe some we dont know about in between Clovis and
: Connacht. Right?

We don't actually know where Ceiscoran goes in there. We know Clovis was first, Connacht was greatest, Ceiscoran hid the Ibis Crown, and Alric is the latest. Since Clovis is first, he's before all the others. Since Alric is latest, he's after all the others. But WHEN did Ceiscoran hide the Ibis Crown? It doesn't say that he hid it because of Balor, which would place it in the Wolf Age between Connacht and Alric. It just says he hid it and made eleven ordinary copies to make theft more difficult.

So, it could be either:

Clovis -> Connacht -> Ceiscoran -> Alric

or

Clovis -> Ceiscoran -> Connacht -> Alric

with an unknown number of different emperors between each of them. There were probably plenty between Clovis and {Ceiscoran|Connacht}, and there definitely were more after Connacht dissapeared but before Alric rebuilt the Empire (who was reigning when Muirthemne was sacked? we don't know). Lots of Bruig emperors... I wonder how many were Great Heros, besides Connacht and Alric?
