If they have a physical form apart from the skin they wear, where is it? Take a look at the Seven Gates postgame win screen. It shows a dead fetch in detail, and all they are is empty skin. Although fetch wearing skins obviously have a physical form, the skin is not part of them. And since dead fetch don't have any physical component other than that skin, they don't have any other physical component when alive.
