:-D Sili, they don't get smitten and fall in love with Wyrd, they get smiten and are cursed by him…but that's just an interpretation.
Keep in mind, Wyrd doesn't have control of his world after his Dream is shattered, so his powers may be limited to beating up the Fetch uncloathed. The Dark Gods appear to send evil things over every thousand years, and Nyx once had her Trow dominate the land. Given, Wyrd is becomming more powerful and is on the rise, but he probably still doesn't have full control, or he wouldn't have to deal with the Levelers and full Dark Ages on his world half the time.
