It could be, and Mumbo Jumbo has the right to tweak the story as they see fit. I was just disturbed by the fact that one of their guys said (at E3) they didn't even consider the possibility of it being paratrooper-related, and weren't interested in doing so. On unresolved issues, they don't have to come to the same conclusion as me or anyone else, but it'd be nice to know that they put a hefty amount of thought in first. Especially when they talked so much about how story fiends were going to love Myth III.
Obviously we can't damn them based on tiny incidental story fragments like this, though. We'll see how it goes as more of the story comes to light.
