In Response To: How to pronounce Connacht (Dan Rudolph)

Forrest, you have to fix this GDed forum. I previewed the message, then went back to make corrections, only to find my message was lost! I went forward, and it said "duplicate submission". I have lost too many posts this way…

I forget most of what I wrote, but I made the point of the pronunciation and that I entirely agree with Forrest.
Geoffry Charlton-Perrin pronounces it as follows (with "aw" as in "awful"):
`kawn-awt
Emphasis is on the first sylable. Seeing as the "ah" to "aw" transition of pronunciation is inherrently British, we Americans may welcomingly pronounce as Forrest described. Either are right, but only these.
