: Yes, but if the Callieach were created in the known
: world, they wouldn't know about the Dark side of the
: world (short of very powerful divination), and, even
: if they did know about it, if they had been created in
: the known world to start with, the Dark side would
: have been no safer than the known world, filled, as it
: would have been, with assorted nasties.
No, the Callieach, like all the other of the millenial elder races, just appeared, which most likely points to them crossing the Edge of All. Nothing dictates that they were created in the world or were created by Wyrd. Therefore, they would know about the very gods which sent them to settle and re-twist the world of Wyrd.
: We know the Fetch are from another realm. We don't know
: whether or not that realm is the dark side of the
: world. That is why that point was relevant. Spiders:
: as far as we know, could be from our world, could be
: from another world, infest the Tain. Suggestion: from
: Dark side, infest Tain (their speed and ability to
: climb steep slopes could have been useful in getting
: away from Myrkrydia), and have probably been brought
: into our world by the Spider Cultists.
Ok…these are priestesses who have horns, are terribly freekish, take enormous pleasure in slaughtering thousands with their powers that the gods gave them, and wear the skins of those they torturously murder. Does this sound like a Light realm to you? This is a logical conclusion, and most alternate realms in stories happen to be Dark, as in Event Horizon, so such a conclusion makes sense.
Technically, we don't know a thing outside of what the game shows us. In that case, there is little point to theorizing, for there are so many plausible ideas which don't come from the game. This limits us to practically nothing, and would bore most of us to tears.
