There was no need for Journeymen after Redemption either, yet Chimera shows one taking up the fur-coat volutarily. This implies that they may become Jmen periodically, perhaps when there's no wars or to enlarge their wisdom rather than fighting skills. After all, if they'd never done it before, why would they have chosen to become journeymen & not something else? There's almost certainly a meaning behind the coat and shovel.
It'd sure be nice if Myth III expanded on this a little, but I doubt it will somehow.
