I already thought of this some time ago, dear ani. I'll get in contact with you about this; in fact, we're discussing it right now :-), but I wanted to make a more public response.
What I had proposed to Forrest and SiliconDream was this:
Well, I noticed two principle things:
-GURPS gives a lot of nice information, but it's not entirely cannon and has too many inconsistancies for use as just a Myth-history book.
-You and Forrest are a couple of the most knowledgable, and well written, of the Asylumites.
From these, I conjured the concept of the three of us writing out a totally cannon history of Myth, all of what is known for certain. Of course! there are little places where theories should be included, like exactly who Alric is an incarnation of. These theories are important to understanding a lot of present concepts, like how many present concepts of higher physics are just theories which are taught. Like a by-line or link next to the main text, we can put basic additional (though unproven) theories, our personal beliefs, and any comments we wish to make to the side of the cannon text. It's kind of like a pyramid turned on its side, the main structure that is absolutely proven first on the left, additions into more abstract and unproven things following.
Why do this? We could get onto more expansive and elaborate theories, not having to worry nearly as much about cannon and non-cannon.
What the hell is this again? We could put it online, maybe get Bungie to know about it, or approve it, having it in downloadable PDF Format for everyone to read and learn. ::reminded of Guttenberg and The Prince:: Then, everyone could happily know the history and not bug…you two for the answers…individually :-).
I'd like to finish it in, oh, August of this summer, but we could do it in the next few months, if you wanted to. So, are you interested?

So, I am willing to head this project, with ani, hopefully with Forrest and Sili too. Though the idea of mine is old, I still stand by it and am willing to do it.
