Also, probably the main reason why Soulblighter won so easily was that the West was nowhere near recovering from Balor's attack. The majority of the people of the West were dead by the time Balor was defeated, and so the Legion that faced Soulblighter was much smaller, which was why it was forced to retreat from him, despite his relatively small armies by comparison to Balor (and Balor's armies were massive: Shiver's contingent alone outnumbered the Legion about 2 to 1.
