Actually, it was never recovered. Plus it wasn't Trow as we see no use of dreams or magic by that race. The quote never actually _says_ it's been found, just that the Watcher searched for it. There was a long discussion a while ago it think…

Well, trow cannot breed or produce new Trow so therefor the population has gotta be pretty small. They seem to, however, have a definant lack of will to live, even with their non-reproducing population. Notice how three of their number sacrifice themselves just to forge a simple alliance.
However, it does seem that at least a few of the cities are inhabited. The level "With Friends Like Theses" takes place in a Trow city. The big D sought the Trow out there, so it seems that they've gone back. Also they seem to stick together when they aren't off commanding battalions.
On a side note, GURPS presents an adventure hook of the Trow rebuilding. Not likely considering their numbers, but an interesting idea none the less.
