According to the MII glossary, Cu Roi "was killed when the Tain was destroyed" and Murgen "did not survive the destruction of the Tain." I agree that the people of the Myth world never found out whether those two avatara died or not; but apparently Bungie did.

I hope you aren't basing your "spiders aren't nutritious" claim on personal experience. :) I thought it was an important part of every documentary on primitive tribes to show them eating insects and to say something like, "actually, insects are extremely nutritious and if everyone in the Western world ate cockroaches instead of hamburgers we'd never have a food shortage." Besides, there's not just spiders in there; there's whatever the spiders eat. And I trust the Avatara to be able to compensate for nutritional deficiencies with magic ("Malenkamon's Impressive Spell of Vitamin B12 Regeneration," and like that.) Also, they may not have lived in the same Tain piece that Soulblighter and the Summoner occupied.

Are you sure? The entire rest of the world was Dark-occupied at this time, and it probably won't be liberated until Alric gets around to it. They might have started on the other side of the world and have been fighting continuously for the last 60 years. Or maybe they organized a rebellion back there (with Balor and his Fallen Lords elsewhere, the Dark might actually be weaker deep in occupied territory) and are now trying to restore those lands just as Alric is doing with the Province.
Gosh, I'm a silly person. I argue with you that the Avatara did not survive the Tain's destruction; then I argue with you that if they did, they could have survived everything else. I'm too contrary for my own good. I'll go annoy people on the Halo forum by arguing irrelevant, unprovable points with *them* now.
