There were still some light forces. Even though the cities had all been burned I'm sure the dark couldn't have gone through every single town, killing every single peasant. There were probably hideouts and It would also be likely that Alric established refugee camps.
: Finaly, was there ever an explination posted for how the
: population of the Myth world rebounded in just 60
: years?
