Ah he didn't need the codex for one big giant reason: Remember the Journal in Myth1? He says "The life of a man yet unborn who would ressurect the myrkridia apon the world" or whtanot RIGHT IN THE JOURNAL and if u recall the myth2 journal writer finds the myth 1 journal, In baron kildaers library!! Soulblighter had access to the myth 1 journal that told him everything he ever needed to know! (Unfortunatly for SB it didn't tell the location of the summoner :p)
