Mazzarin goes Merlin style?

That still doesn't answer my question....WHAT has mazzarin done to become known as the greatest mage ever to walk the lands of miff?

Moagim was beaten by a hero whose name was lost over time. Mb Mazzarin was something of a Merlin character. Powerful enuff to withstand both a leveller entity OR a saviour entity, mb he was an aid to the hero whose name was forgotten, like Merlin was to Arthur.
Now if you r the aid and mentor of a Great Hero that defeats a leveller, THAT would make you one of the greatest mages ever, just like Merlin.
