: these 2 groups of units in tfl always interested me, but
: what is their exact relation?
: in one of the forest giant flavors it says something like
: "when asked about their relation to the trow all
: fell silent and looked to the ground"
Actually, the flavors say that an old one seemed to weep, and reponsed "It was they who poisoned the soul of iron." Referring to the Trow's use of iron for genocide.
: now we know that when the game was originaly being made
: it was living vs the undead which then turned to light
: vs dark. so are trow basicaly undead forrest giants?
: that were later changed into living creaturs of their
: own and given their own city and history or what?
I doubt they were undead Forest Giants, but it does raise the question of what they were supposed to be undead of? Some sort of light giant? The Oghres?
: can forest giant reproduce? do they have cities like the
: trow? why are they healable and trow arent? anyone
: know? does gurps say anything?
Trow are healable. And Forest Giants live communally with nature, no cities, basically functioning as mobile trees. They do breed, though we don't know how. They're basically trees that can walk.
: or were they just put in the game to add some variaty to
: make it interesting when u get to the forest heart
: levels.
We do know that they were supposed to behave differently when damaged; they would turn into trees which could only be finished off by fire. They also threw magically explosive sacks of severed heads, like the Myrkridian Giants do.
