Too bad GURPS isn't more specific. If there were information on where the comet came from for just one more era, it would be easier to figure out what it means specifically. Right now, based on what we know, the comet could mean any of :
(1) It comes from wherever the Dark comes from
(2) It presages who will be defeated
(3) It follows the 'order' spirit (the 'B' spirit?)
...I kind of like the second possibilty, if only because it gives some sense of continuity to Alric's victory in the 5th Era (if, of course, you assume that Alric really is the Hero).
