I agree with the posts that say there must be multiple pieces - that's a cool idea & makes a lot of sense.
But it doesn't make sense that this isn't Soulblighter's "piece". I mean, its surrounded & purposely guarded by his troops, and he had possession of the whole Tain before it shattered. Quite possibly he's planted quite a few pieces around the place to facilitate troop movements. This might explain how he got up to the northern cloudspine so quickly looking for the Deceiver.
