Holy DUCK! I just found something that I believe is very interesting.
Just the other night I was checkin' out Myth TFL for the first time since... Well it was a long time ago, but I just happened to be playing the second hero level (out of the barrier?), and the narrator mentioned something very, very strange.
Alric was ridiculing the Nine's belief that the Head was one of Connacht's avatara. Alric thought that the head was NOT one of Connacht's lieutenants. What is up with that? Is it possible that the head was really a powerful enemy of Connacht and they both knew each other's weaknesses, or something like that?
Another thing: which was the faceless man? An ancient evil or an avatara of connacht? If he was an ancient evil, here is my add-on to this theory:
Connacht separated the head from the Faceless man while he was fighting the Myrkridia. When he saw that the faceless man (who at that time wasn't faceless) wasn't dead, he took the head and buried it somewhere, and imprisoned the body somewhere else. In this new age when Balor came, he found the body, and set a kind of trap for Light. He let them know of the location of the head. The light fell for it and took the head, and started to trust it. When the trust got to be complete, the Head betrayed them, and later was rewarded by Balor. The head disappeared from what we know of it, and was actually given back to the Faceless man.
oooh. Come on people, what do you think of that?
: Well, I kinda have to bring up a point that I brought up
: last night. The theory is totally unsupported, but
: it's kinda interesting (I think)
: Your second theory, with the head being jealous, is what
: my theory supports. OK, here we go...
: The Faceless man is one of those fallen lords we don't
: see. We all know that. None of use really know
: anything about him, though. So he's probably called
: the "faceless man" because nobody can see
: his face, right? If nobody can see his face, than it's
: possible that he has nothing to hold the face on (i.e.
: a head, therefor he could be headless). What if The
: Head is the head that the Faceless Man doesn't have?
: If I were the head, and I saw that my body was a really
: powerful sorcerer that had been raised from the dead
: by the man I once served, and he didn't even take the
: time to reunite me with my body so it could be a
: complete sorcerer, I'd be pissed. Just think: here's a
: head that's buried somewhere in the desert, and its
: body is off somewhere kicking ass. This head is not
: too happy that it's not getting part of the action. So
: the head allies with the people that are willing to
: listen to it. During this time, the head gains the
: Nine's trust by giving them information on how to kill
: fallen lords.
: After the Head has placed itself in a powerful position.
: It's next step is to start helping Balor destroy the
: Nine from within. He's just trying to get his body
: back, so maybe if Balor notices that the Head is doing
: well, he'll reattach it to the Faceless Man. We all
: know how the story turns out... The head disappears
: after it's revolution in the West. Where does the head
: go? Could it have been reunited with its body?
: Wow, that was the most interesting thought out of my head
: today.
: Feel free to criticize/worship/argue with this idea.
