: If the Callieach *were* the most powerful magic users and
: The Watcher were one of them, he would have been the
: most powerful ever, wouldn't he?
Not at all. The race overall of the Callieach was the most skilled in the ways of magic.
: The Trow did not fight under several Fallen Lords during
: TFL (as best we know). That doesn't mean they were
: enemies of any Fallen Lords, including The Watcher.
Would you want a long-old enemy fighting under you, supposedly being wholey devout to you, in place of putting yourself at risk potentially? No! Thrall's good enough fir The Ol' Goat, and I commend him on it!
It's certainly not definite proof, but it does make a lot of sense and can be used as secondary or back-up proof, as was here.
: That's a really good point. The Watcher's statue was
: significantly larger than a zerk. I don't think that
: points to him being a member of the Callieach though.
: We're not told how large the Callieach are. They could
: be chicken-sized for all we know. It's the Oghres who
: are portrayed as about half the size of Trow in the
: comic.
: I don't think Myrdred is that ancient. I believe he was
: mortal just prior to the coming of Connacht. Comment,
: anyone?
He can be that ancient; sure. It's not really ancient though. I believe he meant to say "Moagim Reborn," being the time Myrdred.
