Actually, your closest here. Just because Alric says something, doesn't mean that it is atomaticly true. (only Bungie gets that privalage.) Alric propbably thought he was telling the truth, but remember, he's what? maybe 50 years old at that time. For a wizard that is YOUNG. And the Heron Guard at the end of Myth 2 is OLD. He knows what he's talking about. And he said that the leveler spirit possesed all those guys.
Again, Alric was explaining the tryth AS FAR AS HE KNEW IT. But that didn't make it the whole truth.
