Interesting. I've never experienced that before. It's interesting that you can power the warthog away from the tree and get it out. I'll try doing this and see how it goes. I have jumped out of the warthog and imbedded myself into a rock before several times in the area close to where Sgt. Johnson is, but I have never been able to get myself out of the rock.....even grenades have no effect when I throw them. I have to restart the level when that happens.
