The Forerunners ALWAYs have massive security issues. (Lazy writing) Maybe Sparky wrote the security protocols. He was never very good at the sciency or technical parts. Which is no surprise given that we was a (stone?) age tribal person and didn't grow up in a technological society. Didn't he worship rhinoceroses?
