Vagueness, calm down--he's not being negative, he's being realistic. He is right, you know. I've lost count of how many times 343i has promised to do something and turned tail. It's perfectly understandable to meet this news with some skepticism.

And Halo may be dying, but you don't need to act like it's munky's objective, or that it's his fault. I don't see his name anywhere on the credits. 343i has dug themselves in a rut, and flip flopping on their promises is what makes it worse! With the Massive Colossal Cluster and Halo 5:Transactions, the fanbase has whittled down to three types of people online: The back-in-the-day curmudgeons who only play just for hopeless nostalgia and montage clips, the boosters and pros who try to make Halo a living, and the delirium who believe that everything is perfect and 343 Industries can do no wrong. Well unfortunately things don't work out that way. Now, they are working hard on trying to continue the Halo franchise, but a lot of these mistakes and pies in the sky are hurting them badly.

Glossing over all of that, even if Bungie still decided to work on Halo forever, do you really think everybody would forsake all other new games or favorite experiences for the same two-weapon system over and over again for all eternity? Of course not. Interests fade, desire wanes and better or more interesting things come along. It's just best to get it over with. Let all this denial go and move on. Keep a fond memory, but move on.
