:Halo 1-3 = the original Star Wars (e4, 5, 6) <- the best of the series
:Halo 4-6 = the prequels (e1, 2, 3) <- the room for improvement series

I think I'd more categorize the 343 games as the Disney movies. They are functional, and competently made, but without any real spark of their own. The prequels were downright awful. 343 is not on that level.
