I've heard a bunch of women say they don't like those covers or the men on them.
Also, women mostly have a real say in things now, but a lot of beauty standards for both men and women are carried over from when they didn't.
Also also, I think men would largely find that depiction Batman unsettling not because he looks unmanly in the strict sense but because he looks gay (and poorly drawn).
