Yes, and they need to have Forerunner structures that are boggling to behold. And I just like my hard sci-fi structures.

I just don't know. But it looks like MS is investing in more than just graphics improvements.
If we take graphics and polygon improvements as read then what else could they concentrate on to make better games?
We already have great faces, mo-cap, some AI improvements.
I imagine that AI could always improve. I'm not thinking of fighting or strategy as much as - can they support telling a story? Do they have character? Seem alive? case in point: Jun, the stealth sniper, had no concept of stealth. The Spartans in Reach moved slowly under fire to show how awesome Spartans were under fire (that's what was said - I'm not making it up). Kat's driving undermined any idea that Spartans are amazingly competent.
