Some good bits for sure, but I did feel the battle climax became too much like a casual sideshow while you did your thought-rambling. Maybe not the best time for rambling, when you've got two dropships at once, which really should've got you worried! I think that dissipated the atmosphere and sense of danger, although at least there was a spot of beaky peril right at the end. The best bit during the ramble was when a few guys were getting in your way. I think it would've been good if you'd let some covies get up top for some close-range desperation though. A 'final stand' kind of situation.

Maybe you could've got some fun out of those cowardly crewmen at some point too. Couple more of 'em later in the level though!

I notice you've got different voicing for the Warthog bit, compared to the 'preview'. I miss the "Where's the steering wheel?" line, but on the positive side you get the left-right distinction correct this time. In the preview you weirdly referred to the hog being "right-hand drive" of course - despite sitting in the right-hand seat at the time and lacking a wheel. Another one of your face-palm moments perhaps, when you realized?
