Captain America is a Super Soldier, just like Chief. He is far more grounded than someone like Superman. He relies on his reflexes and resourcefulness rather than on flying through the air shooting enemies without breaking a sweat.
Look at this scene, for example. He's superior in every way to those around him, but he's not untouchable. Beneath all of his augmentations and strength, he's a human.
It's gritty, immersive, awe-inspiring, and while unrealistic, it's still not so over-the-top that the audience buys into what's happening. Every punch is felt, every moment is tense, because you don't quite know what to expect.
This trailer reminds me more of the fight scenes in Man of Steel, where the people fighting just seem so inhuman, that you see it as more spectacle, with less impact, and ultimately the scene has little weight. Each bullet is as pointless as the last, each enemy a hapless mook being torn through with no trouble:
Great fighters such as Odysseus and Leonidas are legends to their people and to those who hear their stories, because they were the best of the best, and could fail, but still overcame their adversaries in one way or another. Godlike figures amongst men, but still men.
As opposed to "Zeus zapped a whole army out of existence? Okay.
