It won't if you know what you're doing and have something against the company rather than just a product.

So your solution is instead of voting with your wallet by not buying you... vote with your wallet by selling?
If you sell your Xbone they still already have your money from buying it in the first place and any games you bought, so doesn't that go against what you said? All it does that matters is take away your reason to buy games for it. You could still not buy those games while owning the console.
Really the thing to do would be to not buy it in the first place, to see what it's like first and see what games are available for it and if they're good.
