: No I'm not. And I never stated it was. It can be fairly cheap. I stated that
: it cost more to produce made-to-order screen prints (full canvas at that)
: in the USA then it does to send a design off to China to be mass produced.
So do that. If you have a giant thread of people telling you that you are being ripped off and that your merchandise is vastly overpriced compared to every other version on the market, then you should really consider all your options. :|
: I would agree to that, if these designs were mass produced. But they are not.
: There's also the cost of producing a online store front where the company
: not only takes the orders, and places the orders (w/i the company), but
: they also go through the headache of customer support, invoicing, shipping
: my product to each and every customer for me.They also have to deal with
: customers that don't pay and credit companies. What do I do? I create a
: design and upload it. That's pretty much it.
Yes. I literally sent them a link to your t-shirts from your first post. They said $25. Max.
And you getting such a low commission on them is insanity.
You're being ripped off worse than anyone dumb enough to buy these shirts.
: And Full Canvas to boot? And they take care of all of the headaches I've
: listed above? Awesome! Where do I sign up?!
Google is your friend. I think even Cafepress is cheaper than this BS site you're using and that's really saying something...
: So far, I've yet to ask Nuvango about bulk wholesale orders. I know they
: provide that service. But without the funds, I've never looked into their
: pricing on that. I would love to do that. But even at $10-$12 a shirt,
: we're talking about $1000-$1200 I don't have. Otherwise, I'd do it in a
: heartbeat. I've already spoken to local businesses here, in town. Only one
: actually does these kinds of Screen-Printing. And it's on par with your
: mother's rates.
So what I am getting is that you can't afford to sell shirts, so your solution was to have someone else sell your shirts, at a massively inflated price, and then get barely any money back for them?
Sounds like you just gave your designs away to someone making money on them who isn't you.
Again, Google is your friend.
I've had two-sided, full-art t-shirts individually made for less than $25.
Not sure why you are only able to find the dicks who rip you off...
: He's not. And apparently it's not too expensive either. ;)
Dude... everyone in this thread is telling you that he is right. I am even saying he is right. You are literally ignoring a giant wave of people who are insightful and experienced in this topic and getting upset that no one wants to buy shirts that are shitty polyester for $50+. EVEN for $30, that's outrageous.
No design is worth that much on a crappy t-shirt.
Sorry, unless it's golden ink, I doubt anyone is going to buy them.
