: How much are you planning on selling the regular at and how much longer
: before you have some up for sale? Can I place a pre-order on one now? I'll
: send you the money now and you just let me know when they're ready to go
: :D

I recently took a new job so my time and funds in the shop has been...limited. Probably still a few weeks out.

I'm absolutely humbled that so many of you like my work enough to want to own one. It does this weird thing to me where I feel happy, yet terrified that I couldn't possibly live up to everyone's expectations.

So with that in mind, I feel I should clarify a few things:

The way replicas are typically sold\traded around the 405th is that the buyer gets a "raw" copy of the kit. This means that it is fresh from the mold, needs cleaned, some sanding, assembled, primed, painted etc. Some makers offer their kits finished as well, for an additional fee. And it varies, greatly, based on the quality of the work. It's a funny thing, because often people that aren't a part of that community don't get why things are so expensive; they want the finished result for $50... but that's a different discussion.

I honestly didn't expect anyone here to ask for one....

In my prop community, I'm asking $300 for an un-finished kit. (that includes shipping, which averages between $45-$70 in the contiguous US).

If anyone here truly wants one, I think what I could offer is either selling you a raw kit (that you would need to put work into) for a discounted rate, or I could keep the price about the same and finish the kit for you. This is not a service I offer to anyone else.

I realize that's a lot, so you won't hurt my feelings if you suddenly say "no thanks" , but you should know that this isn't a cheap hobby. Like I said, my goal is to break even.

Keep the above in mind, and let me know if you're still serious. I'll do my best to work with each of you.
