That is the roughest failed project story I've heard in some time-- and the weird and frustrating thing is it's a successful project story, it just turned into something else after you were offered this licensing deal. Was this the "big thing" you mentioned at the HBO LAN party a few years back?

For those who don't know, Mayflower is over here. It has story and art by the one and only Leviathan, a feel reminiscent of Blade Runner, and whale frogs. I recommend reading it, and buying a copy if it sparks your interest.
