Halo: Combat Evolved is now an angsty teenager

Happy Birthday to Bungie's first Halo game released on November 15th, 2001. This was my first experience in this amazing universe and I'm sure for most of you as well. What caught my attention so vividly when I first played was that I got a sense that this was a universe that things inhabited. These weren't just mere settings that we were supposed to play through, but places that someone or something had designed for a purpose. I had a feeling that there were things behind all those locked doors on Pillar of Autumn and 343 Guilty Spark even if I knew it was just nothingness.

Playing HCE on The Master Chief Collection today will also earn you the "Day to Remember" achievement for playing on the 15th of the month.
