: I'm guessing that many of the new abilities (such as ground pound) in
: campaign will be limited to our playtime as Locke - this way it will make
: some sense to include these features. Would be weird to see chief with
: these actions, although we did see his armor being removed in halo 4,
: maybe he has upgraded gear as well. It seemed like his old armor in the
: teaser, but maybe his poncho was hiding the new hotness beneath...

I dunno, ground pound seems like less of a new 'power' and more like a new way discovered to use the mjolnir. Heavy, powerful stuff it is. What if plotwise, there's now a reason for the chief to make use of that ability; such as needing to break through a relatively thin ground structure/architecture. In past Halos there wasn't really a requirement for that (even though if you think about it it could have come in handy in a few places). In short, it seems like something the chief could have always done - whether combining a large jump or a big fall with a focused pound - to dig away at the ground or break through a floor. Now there may be a reason or a prompting that gives him the idea to do so, in the plot, as a 'reason' for the ability in Halo 5.
