Preorder skull confusion

In Response To: Master Chief Collection Pre-Order Bonus (Nevan)

The pre-order skulls aren't very clearly explained. For instance the Microsoft store bonus skull is "Boom", which gives you 2x physics.

Does this skull unlock 2x explosion physics for all 4 games? (I figure it can't be just for Halo 2 as H2 already has "Sputnik" which gives 2x explosion physics.)

If it is the "Sputnik" skull, then will unlocking the skull with the pre-order code also unlock the "Sputnik" achievement?

If it is not "Sputnik", can this pre-order "Boom" skull be found/unlocked by people who did not pre-order? If not will it ever be made available to everyone?

Is "Boom" just unlocking the Halo 1 Anniversary skull named "Boom"? (If so will unlocking the skull with the pre-order code unlock the "Boom" achievement?)

TLDR: When does it unlock? What does it affect? Can non-pre-orderers ever get the skull?
