: Is there anywhere you can actually see it coming in and splashing indoors?

Not really. There are some platforms (like at the beginning of the level, or the glass on the edge of Club Errera's landing pad) where you can see it falling through if you take a close look (and you can watch it hit your falcon if you fly underneath). The building with the purple light that sits just out from Club Errera has a glass-covered walkway, but you don't see the drops entirely fall through it; for cases like that, the game appears to have volumes which remove raindrops. The particles do not splash on the glass, but they don't make it through either.

On that note, the platform at the start of the level is extremely quirky. If you look underneath it, there are raindrops coming down even under the opaque parts of the platform. Clearly there's no rain-removal volume there; you can see them coming down when you look up at the platform, and you can see them splash on the ground. I'm not sure how they make it through the platform, though, or if the game is actually spawning them on the underside because it doesn't know any better.
