I can see why it's not a priority for 343--after all we saw how Invasion actually went in practice. The mode could be fun but it relied on a really set number of factors and had some inherent issues (shooting galleries in the third phase, etc.)

But having cutom hooks like this for people to build their own and maybe create a mode you wouldn't have expected is really cool, and I hope 343 looks at what modders are doing and sees opportunities to bring some of that into the official featureset. It's never going to gain widespread acceptance and play if it's just left to modders.
